Terms of Service
Scope of services, fees and refunds, the limits of what we promise, your obligations and ours, liability, and the law that governs these terms.
These terms apply to the legal consulting services provided by YELLOW ROSE LEGAL LTD. They are the basis on which we accept an instruction, and they should be read before you confirm a scope and fee.
1. Scope of services
YELLOW ROSE LEGAL LTD (Company No. 16261721) provides legal consulting, document review, document drafting, negotiation support and dispute resolution support.
We do not represent clients in court proceedings and we do not conduct litigation. Nothing on this website, and nothing in our correspondence, should be read as an offer to act as a litigator, to instruct counsel on your behalf in proceedings, or to attend a hearing as your representative.
Where a matter requires representation before a court or tribunal, we will identify that at the earliest opportunity and explain what form of representation is likely to be required.
The services we provide are advisory. Any decision to act, to settle or to proceed is yours, and you remain responsible for the commercial and practical consequences of that decision.
2. Fees, quotations and refunds
Every instruction is quoted in writing before chargeable work begins. The quotation states the scope of the work, the fee, what is excluded and how revisions are handled.
Fees relate to the agreed scope rather than to time spent. Where the scope changes, we will tell you in writing before the fee changes, and you may decline the additional work.
Where an instruction is cancelled after work has begun, the fee is adjusted pro rata for work already carried out and any unused balance is returned. Where a matter has not been started, any fee paid is refunded in full.
Fees quoted on this website are indicative entry-level figures for the smallest instructions and are not an offer to act at that price on any particular matter.
3. No guarantee of outcome
We do not and cannot guarantee the outcome of any matter. Legal positions depend on facts, documents, the conduct of other parties and the decisions of third parties, none of which we control.
Any assessment we give is an opinion on the material available at the time. It is not a prediction, and it may change if new information comes to light.
No statement made by us should be relied upon as a promise that a particular result, recovery or settlement will be achieved.
4. Your obligations and ours
You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to supply documents relevant to the matter promptly. Our advice is only as good as the material it is based on.
You agree to tell us at once if circumstances change, if a deadline approaches or if a third party makes contact about the matter.
We agree to keep your information confidential, to communicate in clear English, to tell you promptly if a matter falls outside our remit, and to keep a written record of the instructions we give.
5. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, our liability arising from any single instruction is limited to the fee paid for that instruction.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for the acts or omissions of third parties, including other advisers, courts, tribunals or enforcement bodies.
We are not liable for any outcome that results from incomplete, inaccurate or delayed information being provided to us.
6. Governing law and complaints
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please write to Yellowroselegal@hotmail.com with the matter reference. We will acknowledge your complaint within one working day and provide a substantive written response within ten working days.
