This policy explains how YELLOW ROSE LEGAL LTD handles personal information submitted through this website or in the course of an enquiry. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

1 · Who we are

The data controller

YELLOW ROSE LEGAL LTD (Company No. 16261721), registered at 110 Carlton Avenue East, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 8LY, is the controller of personal data submitted through this website or by email and telephone in connection with an enquiry.

2 · What we collect

The information we hold

  • Contact details you provide: name, email address, telephone number and postal address.
  • The description of your matter and any documents you choose to send us.
  • Correspondence between us, including the written scope and fee confirmation.
  • Basic technical information generated by your visit, such as pages requested and the time of the request.

3 · Why we hold it

Lawful basis for processing

We process enquiry information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract for services, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and keeping a record of the advice given. Where we are required to keep records for accounting or regulatory reasons, we rely on our legal obligations.

4 · Retention

How long we keep it

Enquiry information that does not lead to an instruction is deleted within 12 months. Records relating to work carried out are retained for six years from the end of the matter, which reflects the period during which a claim could ordinarily be brought. You may ask us to delete enquiry information sooner.

5 · Sharing

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. Information is disclosed only to service providers who help us operate (for example email and hosting providers), where we are required to do so by law, or where you have asked us in writing to contact a third party about your matter.

6 · Your rights

What you can ask us to do

You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to Yellowroselegal@hotmail.com. We will respond within one month.

7 · Complaints

If you are not satisfied

Please contact us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) about how your personal data has been handled.
